  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the egg and mix until the dough comes together.
  5. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
  6. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Make an indentation in the center of each dough ball and fill with a tablespoon of fruit preserves.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the hamantaschen to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
