Green Bean Casserole was created by the Campbell Soup Company in 1955 and has since become a popular Thanksgiving dish in the United States.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large saucepan, boil green beans in salted water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In the same saucepan, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and black pepper. Cook over medium heat until heated through.

Stir in green beans and half of the French fried onions.

Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and sprinkle the remaining French fried onions on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned.

Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
