  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
  7. Fold in the mashed bananas and chopped walnuts.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
