Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt.

Add the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Fold in the raisins.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and shape it into a round loaf.

Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Use a sharp knife to score a cross on the top of the loaf.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
