  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the lemon zest and lemon juice.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. While the loaf is still warm, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
  9. Remove the loaf from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack set over a baking sheet.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm loaf, allowing it to soak in.
  11. Let the loaf cool completely before slicing and serving.
