Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

In another bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Stir until just combined.

Gently fold in the diced pear.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
