Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.

Add the egg, vanilla extract, and molasses to the butter mixture and mix well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Place the powdered sugar in a small bowl. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in the powdered sugar until coated.

Place the coated dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the cookies have crinkled.
