  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and molasses.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  7. Roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat.
  8. Place the coated balls onto a baking sheet, leaving space between each.
