  1. Preheat the oven to 325Ā°F (165Ā°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the stout beer and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the dried fruits and nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the cake has cooled, brush the top with honey for a sticky glaze.
