Portobello mushrooms are actually mature cremini mushrooms and have a meaty texture, making them a popular choice for vegetarian dishes.

Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.

Clean the Portobello mushrooms and remove the stems.

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Brush the marinade over both sides of the mushrooms.

Grill or bake the mushrooms for about 10 minutes on each side, or until tender.

Remove from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes.
