  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the sour cream, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
