Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the granulated sugar and mix well.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

In a small bowl, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.

Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture on top, then spread the remaining brownie batter over the peanut butter layer.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top.

Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
