Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each cookie.

In a small saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth and melted.

Spoon a small amount of the fudge mixture into the center of each cookie.

Sprinkle chopped walnuts or pecans on top of each cookie.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
