Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the shortcake ingredients and mix well.

Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape them into shortcakes.

Place the shortcakes on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

In the meantime, slice the strawberries and sprinkle them with sugar. Let them sit for 10 minutes.

Once the shortcakes are baked, let them cool for 10 minutes.

Slice each shortcake in half horizontally.

Spoon the strawberry mixture onto the bottom half of each shortcake.

Top with whipped cream and cover with the other half of the shortcake.
