Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the Parmesan cheese.

Gradually add the warm water, stirring until a soft dough forms.

In a small bowl, dissolve the baking soda in 3 cups of hot water.

Divide the dough into 16 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a rope and twist into a pretzel shape.

Dip each pretzel into the baking soda solution and place on a greased baking sheet.

Beat the egg and brush it over the pretzels.

Sprinkle with pretzel salt.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
