In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and yogurt. Mix well.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C) or preheat a grill.

Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll each part into a tear-shaped naan.

Place the naan on a greased baking sheet or grill and bake/grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and puffed.

Brush the naan with oil or ghee while it's still warm.
