  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crush the chocolate cookies and mix with melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Set aside to cool slightly.
  5. Separate the egg yolks from the whites. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until creamy.
  6. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  7. Gently fold the melted chocolate into the egg yolk mixture, then fold in the whipped egg whites.
  8. Pour the chocolate mousse mixture onto the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set.
  10. Before serving, whip the whipping cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  11. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled chocolate mousse pie.
  12. Dust with cocoa powder.
  13. Slice and serve chilled.
