Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.

In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg and vanilla extract together. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix until well combined.

Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

In another bowl, combine the strawberries, blueberries, cornstarch, lemon juice, and brown sugar. Spread the berry mixture evenly over the crust.

In a small bowl, mix together the remaining flour mixture, cinnamon, quick oats, and chopped walnuts. Sprinkle this streusel topping over the berry mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
