Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 2 minutes, then transfer them to an ice bath to cool. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in vegetable broth and milk. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
