Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, butter, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla extract together.

Add the dates to the egg mixture and mix well.

Pour the date mixture into the pie crust.
