Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips and butter together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and instant chocolate pudding mix. Add the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the M&M's.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.
