Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well.

Stir in the rolled oats, dark chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips.

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
