In a large baking dish, combine the white beans, chopped onion, minced garlic cloves, tomato paste, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and water.

Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the beans are tender and the sauce has thickened.

Let the baked beans rest for 10 minutes before serving.
