Cranberries are one of the few fruits native to North America. They are often associated with Thanksgiving and are a popular ingredient in holiday recipes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the dried cranberries, chopped pecans, and white chocolate chips.

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
