  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until just combined.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar, egg yolk, and milk until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spoon the chocolate chip mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer. Top with the remaining cream cheese mixture.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Allow to cool in the baking dish for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  8. Cut into squares and serve as cookie sandwiched cheesecakes.
