Coffee cake is not actually made with coffee, but it is meant to be enjoyed with a cup of coffee.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 65 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 14.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a small bowl, dissolve the instant coffee powder in hot water. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the sour cream and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan.

In a small bowl, mix together the chopped walnuts, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter in the cake pan.

Pour the remaining batter over the walnut mixture, and then sprinkle the remaining walnut mixture on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
