In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest, and lemon zest.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg and milk together. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a smooth batter forms.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep saucepan or fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.

Pipe the batter into the hot oil, cutting it with scissors to release the churros. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove the churros from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

In a small saucepan, heat the cream until steaming. Remove from heat and whisk in the dark chocolate, instant coffee granules, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
