  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. For the glazes, mix powdered sugar with water until smooth. Divide the glaze into two bowls. In one bowl, add cocoa powder and mix well. In the other bowl, add melted chocolate and mix well.
  8. Dip the cooled donuts into the glazes or fill them with strawberry jam.
  9. Allow the glazes to set for a few minutes before serving.
