  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar for the swirl.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the egg. Stir in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the batter.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
