Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.

Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.

Pat the dough into a 3/4-inch (2 cm) thick circle and cut it into 8 wedges.
