Cinnamon Buns from Heaven
Cinnamon buns are believed to have originated in Sweden and are often enjoyed during fika, a Swedish coffee break.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 100 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 13.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, vanilla extract, and egg. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread the mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle raisins on top.

Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

Place the cinnamon buns in a greased baking dish. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let them rest for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the cinnamon buns for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and water to make the glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon buns. Serve and enjoy!
