Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the key lime zest, key lime juice, and vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, dust the top of the bread with powdered sugar.
