  2. Cut the bread into cubes and place them in the prepared baking dish.

  5. Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  6. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes in the baking dish. Press down lightly to ensure all the bread is soaked.
  7. Sprinkle the raisins over the top.
  8. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown.
