Chocolate White Chocolate Chunk Cookies
The first chocolate chip cookie was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938. She added chopped chocolate to her cookie dough, expecting it to melt and create chocolate cookies. Instead, the chocolate chunks retained their shape, giving birth to the iconic chocolate chip cookie.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
