Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a square baking dish with parchment paper.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.

Sift in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and caramel sauce.

Use a knife to swirl the caramel sauce into the brownie batter.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
