Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a food processor, crush the chocolate cookies until they become fine crumbs. Press the crumbs into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let it cool.

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped chocolate until melted and smooth.

Stir in the vanilla extract. Let the mixture cool for 10 minutes.

Slice the bananas and arrange them in a single layer over the cooled crust.

Pour the chocolate mixture over the bananas, spreading it evenly.

Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.

Before serving, top the pie with whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
