  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the fresh mint leaves.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
