Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and granulated sugar. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Press 1 tablespoon of the flour mixture into the bottom of each cupcake liner.

Spoon 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on top of the flour mixture in each cupcake liner.

Top each cupcake with 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the cupcakes to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
