  1. Wash the basmati rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the soaked rice. Cook until the rice is 70% cooked.
  3. Drain the rice and set aside.
  4. In a separate pan, heat ghee and add cardamom pods. Cook for a minute.
  5. Add the drained rice to the pan and mix well.
  6. Add sugar, saffron, almonds, raisins, and orange food color. Mix gently.
  7. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
