  5. Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking dish. Arrange the cherry halves on top, then spoon the remaining batter over the cherries.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the twinks to cool in the dish for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
