  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the almond flour, all-purpose flour, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in the pitted and halved cherries.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
