  4. Brush the melted butter and garlic mixture over the cut sides of the squash. Season with salt and black pepper.

  6. In a separate bowl, combine grated cheddar cheese, milk, breadcrumbs, and chopped parsley.
  7. Remove the squash from the oven and fill each half with the cheese mixture.
