  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grate the potatoes and squeeze out the excess moisture.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, flour, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Shape the mixture into small tots and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle the tots with vegetable oil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the tots are baking, prepare the gravy. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  7. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  8. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  9. Gradually whisk in the beef stock and Worcestershire sauce.
  10. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened.
  11. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. Serve the cheesy potato tots with the gravy on the side.
