The cheese ring became popular in the 1950s as a classic party appetizer.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, pimentos, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Grease a ring mold and press the cheese mixture into it.
  4. Sprinkle paprika over the top.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  6. Allow the cheese ring to rest for 10 minutes before unmolding.
  7. Serve with crackers or bread, if desired.
