Cheddar Cheesy Baked Potatoes
Cheddar cheese is named after the English village of Cheddar in Somerset, where it was originally made.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Wash and scrub the potatoes. Pat them dry.

Pierce each potato several times with a fork.

Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until tender.

Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Slice off the top of each potato and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.

Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper to the bowl and mash until smooth.

Fill each potato skin with the mashed potato mixture.

Top each potato with cheddar cheese.

Place the potatoes back on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley.

Let the potatoes rest for 5 minutes before serving.
