Cheddar and Onion Rye Rolls

In a large bowl, combine rye flour, all-purpose flour, yeast, warm water, honey, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.

Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese and chopped onion on top of each roll.
