  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. In the bowl with the mashed bananas, add the granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, buttermilk, and the cooled browned butter. Mix well.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
