Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar until well combined.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Add this dry mixture to the saucepan and stir until just combined.

In a small bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla extract together. Add this mixture to the saucepan and stir until well combined.

Stir in the chopped pecans.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the batter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
