Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Fill each muffin cup halfway with the batter. Drizzle a spoonful of caramel sauce over each muffin. Top with more batter to cover the caramel.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
