Caramel Apple Cupcakes
Caramel apples are a popular treat during the fall season, especially around Halloween.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake tin with cupcake liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples.

Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.

Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cupcakes are cooled, drizzle each one with caramel sauce and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
